RCES No Kid Hungry Fun Run Is Great Success

The second annual Rachel Carson Elementary School (RCES) No Kid Hungry Fun Run on Nov. 20, organized by parent Heather Watson Webb, raised $23,706 to help feed hungry kids
and support RCES classroom supplies. Another RCES parent, DJ Blake Motter, volunteered his time at the race and kept everyone motivated.

Arts Festival Night Planned at LPMS

The community is invited to an Arts Festival Night at Lakelands Park Middle School (LPMS) on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 6 to 8 p.m. “The community will be able to see a showcase of student work from visual arts and the performing arts,” said Stacy Azizirad, LPMS Arts & Health/PE Resource Teacher. “Little ones will be able to come participate in some art stations provided by our art teachers!”

LPMS Academic Literacy Collects for SOME

The Academic Literacy classes at Lakelands Park Middle School (LPMS) collected more than 400 pairs of socks for So Others Might Eat (SOME). This sock drive was part of the Academic Literacy’s Random Acts of Kindness program.
