Edwards was originally arrested on July 29 for allegedly spraying semen on a woman exiting the Giant grocery store at 842 Muddy Branch Road. Police said that incident occurred on July 15, and online records indicate he has a September 7 court date on the charge.
During the course of the investigation, police determined there were three additional female victims who were allegedly assaulted by Edwards at the same grocery store. Police say these incidents occurred on July 2 and July 8. An arrest warrant on the new charges was obtained on August 5, and police say Edwards turned himself in on August 11.
Officer Dan Lane describes the bottle Edwards uses to squirt his victims as “a travel size hand sanitizer bottle,” and he said all the women were sprayed from behind.
In addition, Montgomery County police have also linked 28-year-old Edwards with a similar incident that occurred at the Michaels craft store in Kentlands last year. A September 16 court date is scheduled on this charge, according to online records.
