Kentlands Film Fest Moves to Theaters

The Kentlands Film Society (KFS) is once again sponsoring the Manhattan Short Film Festival, but this year it will be open to the public at the Kentlands Stadium 10 Theater, 629 Center Point Way on Sunday, September 26 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $7 and are available at the door. The program lasts for approximately two hours.

Over 100,000 people in more than 200 cities across six continents gather in cinemas, museums and cafes to view the 10 finalists in this event and vote for their favorite short film. This year’s 10 finalists come from Australia, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Poland and the United Kingdom. They range in time from four to 15 minutes.

In an interview Betty Hafner, programming chair of the Kentlands Film Society said that for the last two years the film festival has been part of the KFS subscription series, “but we know that many film lovers weren’t able to see the films so we decided to hold the festival as a separate event in a larger venue.”

Be sure to come and cast your vote for the best short film! More information can be found at
