Panda Programmer Now Offers Classes to Middle School Students

This current academic year, Panda Programmer expanded its after-school program to middle schools. The curriculum was modified and re-branded as “Coding Club” for the middle school students. Dr. Joey Jones was instrumental in bringing the Coding Club curriculum to his students at Robert Frost Middle School, and registration is now open for the third after-school class at Frost. Most of the Frost students take the activity buses home after their coding classes.

Panda Programmer is looking forward to working with Lakelands Park and Ridgeview Middle Schools to bring the experience and knowledge of coding to those students as well. The company, founded by Kentlands resident Will Corbin, has been offering after-school classes in coding at Rachel Carson Elementary School and in the Kentlands since 2014.
