Bella Ballet Collects Treats for Troops

For a second year, Bella Ballet, 347 Kentlands Boulevard, is participating in the Treats for Troops Candy Collection organized by Soldiers Angels. Candy will be collected at the studio Nov. 1 through 7 and then sent to soldiers who are stationed overseas. Last year, Bella Ballet collected five large bins of candy.

Absolute Repair on the Move in January

Absolute Repair, the full-service repair shop for iPhone, iPad and Mac/PC computers at 101 Booth St., will be moving in  January. Owner Alan Monticelli said the shop will be located outside of Kentlands but nearby at 847A Quince Orchard  Boulevard.

Warhammer Celebrates One Year in Kentlands Market Square

Warhammer celebrated its first anniversary in Kentlands Market Square on Oct. 27 with free gifts and fighting “Da’ Battle of D’ Bism’Ork” in the afternoon. The store, located at 119 Market St. West, invites visitors to build armies of warriors by painting miniatures and then launch them into battle with other game enthusiasts.

Foundry Fitness Collects Shoes for Uganda

With the help of members and the larger community, Foundry Fitness collected more than 200 pairs of shoes for Rokundo International, a nonprofit that supports underprivileged children and their families in Uganda.

Bark! Hosts Adoption Event

Greyhound Welfare will be at Bark! Gaithersburg, 235 Kentlands Boulevard, for an adoption event on Saturday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Maryland-based nonprofit places retired racing greyhounds in responsible and loving homes. Another Greyhound Welfare adoption event is planned for Dec. 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bella Ballet Offers Turkey Time Day Camp

Ballerinas ages 3 to 6 are invited to dance, play some games, make a Thanksgiving craft and more on Wednesday, Nov.
21, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bella Ballet, 347 Kentlands Boulevard. Young dancers will enjoy a fun activity while parents get
