Kentlands Wine Harvest Closes

After 20 years in Kentlands, The Wine Harvest is closing its doors. The kitchen shut down on June 30, and the Market Street institution should close completely by the end of the first week in July. Longtime owners Andy, Randi and Marty Meyrowitz will continue to operate The Wine Harvest Park Potomac, and Kentlands staff will all transfer to that location. Andy Meyrowitz will continue as a buyer and manager at the Park Potomac location while also starting a new adventure as a manager for Schneider’s of Capitol Hill.

MOD Pizza to Open Soon

According to Charlotte Wayte, MOD Pizza public relations director, the Kentlands MOD Pizza at 145 Commerce Square Place will open on July 9, 10:30 a.m. MOD Pizza offers artisan-style individual pizzas and salads that are ready in just minutes. You can choose from over 30 toppings.

Colombian Breeze Closes

Colombian Breeze, long at 348 Main St., closed in late June. The space is for rent now.

New Exhibit at Artists on Market

Artists on Market’s latest exhibit, “Oceans of Creativity,” opened June 27 and features the work of 38 talented local artists. You’ll find fine art, photography, pottery, prints, jewelry, cards and fiber. And don’t miss unique glasswork from new member artists Steven Gibson, Tony Glander, Laurie Hartman and Michele Rubin.

Plan to meet the artists at an opening reception on Sunday, July 14, 2 to 5 p.m. The gallery is located at 201 Market St. West. Regular gallery hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, 3 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 12 to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. “Oceans of Creativity” will be on view through Sept. 1.
