The Urbana Basketball Association is excited to offer once again the Spring Basketball Youth Development program for youth between the ages of 8 to 14. Troop 81618 Collecting for Comfort Cases
Urbana Brownie Girl Scout Troop 81618 will be collecting for Comfort Cases, a nonprofit that provides a proper bag filled with essential items to youth in foster care. Look for Troop 81618 on Feb. 25, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Royal Farms, 9180 Fingerboard Road, and March 11, 12 to 2 p.m. at the Urbana Giant.
Kidsave Summer Host Families Needed
Host families are needed this summer for 10 to 12 Colombian children. The children are part of Kidsave’s Summer Miracles program, designed to bring children in need of a family to the United States for five weeks. Learn From Master Gardeners
Frederick County Master Gardeners will offer two free events on Monday, March 12, 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 17, 11 a.m. at the Natelli Community Center. Topics covered will include landscaping with native plants, reducing lawn maintenance while improving lawn health, and more.
