Enjoy a full day of activities including a mile run, entertainment, plenty of food, beer and wine gardens, and children’s activities.

The event takes place on Sept. 10 from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown Frederick.

Fifth Annual Frederick Fashion Week

Fashion shows featuring local boutiques and salons and independent fashion designers take place at Frederick’s Cultural Arts Center Sept. 13 – 18 at 7 p.m.

The 149th Anniversary of The Battle of South Mountain

Real time walking tours will follow in the exact footsteps of soldiers at Fox’s Gap and Crampton Gap on Sept. 10 and 11. The Fox’s Gap tour will begin at 10 a.m. at the South Mountain Inn’s parking lot in Middletown.

The Crampton’s Gap tour will begin at 3 p.m. at Gathland State Park in Burkittsville.

The Great Frederick Fair

Frederick County’s single largest event takes place over nine days in the fall, featuring concerts, carnival rides, food and agricultural, business and homegrown exhibits.

The fun starts on Sept. 16 and runs through Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Frederick Fairgrounds on Patrick Street.
