Carroll Creek Event Raises Funds for Charities
Visit the colorful night-lighted miniboat “Sailing Through the Winter Solstice” charity event in downtown Frederick at Carroll Creek Park and then vote online for the boat—and cause—you most want to support. Urbana and Frederick-based Capital Women’s Care in particular is sponsoring the boat named “Phoenix” to benefit Heartly House. The Heartly House in Frederick provides comprehensive services for victims and survivors of domestic violence. The boats sail through Feb. 3, 2019.
